Astronomer
I grew up loving the stars and being lucky enough to have a nice backyard to go and sit to watch stars some what easily.
We did have a big old tree but I could still see some Constellations around it branches!
I got my first Telescope when I was about 16 or 17 years old.
It was pink of course.
But it wasn't the greatest and sadly I lost interest. (Plus it was usually cloudy where we lived and my parents didn't want me going out after dark for to long for fear of raccoons attacking me or someone jumping the dance and trying to get me.)

Ballerina
Growing up I of course was in to girly things and one of which was ballet!
I use to watch the nutcracker every year it came out and I had the ballerina Disney princesses™ to play with, plus I was always reading comics about them.
The ones I read were called "Dance class series" by Beka and "Tiny dancer" by siena cherson siegel.
Plus a lot of the shows at the time that I watched would have special episodes dealing with ballet or if you were like me you watched "Angelina ballerina" when it came on!
But of course reality came crashing in. I didn't fit the body type, I was to old and my parents didn't have the money for it or gas to take me to and from such classes so I gave up on that dream...

Book shop
I honestly don't care what part I work as I just wanna be within the book store or shop or however you put it and be able to smell the books!
I grew up lucky and had a mom who always stopped at the book section at goodwill no matter what or how long we were to be there! (I both hated it and loved it!)
Now that I'm older I mostly love it and do the same whenever my anxiety isn't that bad and I feel that I would get sick in public.
I believe it also means depending on the place that is I can get first dips on most new books which I highly doubt I would use unless uncle Rick comes out with more books.

Fashion designer
I loved doing art. (Still do.) So when I was younger and watched the Barbie movie where she goes to Paris I was hooked on such a job!
Even as I got older I watched "Devil Wears Prada" and that just added to it.
Of course I suck at drawing such beautiful women to display my outfits but I do have a lot of outfit ideas of which I might post about in the future as well!
This is basically a job I've always wanted but also was fearful about as once again I am plus size and I see how other girls like me struggle in such an industry so I try to support them as much as I can to fill the hole in my heart!

Painter
Aw yes, this was what made me the "gifted" child growing up!
I could copy artwork off pages damn near exactly how it was done by the professional artist! I still have pictures and paintings from way back when!
But of course my dear mother has a bad side to her and told me I'd never make it anywhere with my art so I trashed almost all of it in anger and sadness! And now I don't paint! In fact I only just picked it back up again this year!
After not painting for almost 8 years :P
So yes such a job has trauma for me but I am pulling through it and trying to make it fun for me again!

I hope you all enjoyed this blog post! Tell me what was your dream job growing up and what is it now? Is it different or the same? Let me know!

there's so many things i would do as a job...
ReplyDelete1. something along the lines of chemistry. im far from sure what, but i love chemistry and really want to do something with my curiosities.
2. engineer or auto mechanic. i've always loved cars, motoring, and of course formula one. i absolutely adore the technical side of formula one, i would do anything to become a mechanic for an f1 team!
3. author/editor for a motoring magazine or news page. i don't think im the most well-versed in english, but whenever i do write something in a professional manner it seems to have a very characteristic vibe to it that i think is uniquely mine.
anyway, thanks for the blog post! it was a great read!
Oh those are all amazing choices! Hope you can achieve the dream! And thank you!
